Harold's first written work was a manifesto which appeared in 1992 . The materials used to compose the text were completely pilfered from the State of Washington, where he worked for twelve years.

Since he quit the State in 1994, he has taken a oath to quit any job he does not enjoy.

A State worker once asked him, "Where do your stories come from?"

His answer: "Sweat, piss, cum and blood. Where else would they come from?"

He's never owned a car, a television, or a computer. He is an American without apology.
